Universal Music Group have informed us that the production and shipping of The Weeknd’s My Dear Melancholy, LP has been delayed until at least February 2020.
It was initially listed as a Record Store Day 2019 release and was therefore set to release on Friday 29th November 2019, however it was not stocked in any record stores with little explanation as to why. It has now been announced that there have been production issues and we won’t be able to get our hands on it for at least 5 months.
The April estimate lines up nicely with Record Store Day 2020 which is April 18th, so it’s possible that this is the new estimate release date, though we will update you when we know more information.
The release will be of limited quantity, and will feature seven tracks.
- Call Out My Name
- Try Me
- Wasted Times
- I Was Never There (feat. Gesaffelstein)
- Hurt You (feat. Gesaffelstein)
- Call Out My Name (A Cappella)
The six songs from this project, including the hit single “Call Out My Name” are featured on Side A of the 150 gram vinyl. Side B features an etched design to make this record a true collector’s item.
